A. Overbust
How to measure: Wrap the measuring tape around your chest, above the bust, under the arms, and across the upper chest.
Tip: Keep the tape snug but not tight, and make sure it’s level all the way around.
B. Bust
How to measure: Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of the bust, ensuring it’s level across the back and front.
Tip: Wear a well-fitting, non-padded bra for the most accurate measurement.
C1. Waist
How to measure: Find the natural waistline (the narrowest part of the torso, usually just above the belly button). Wrap the tape around this area.
Tip: Don’t suck in your stomach, and keep the tape snug but not too tight.
C2. Lower Waistline
How to measure: Measure around the area where you usually wear your pants, about 1-2 inches below your natural waistline.
Tip: Keep the tape level and relax your body for an accurate fit.
D. Hip
How to measure: Wrap the tape around the widest part of your hips and buttocks, usually 7-9 inches below your natural waist.
Tip: Stand with your feet together to avoid skewing the measurement.
E. Back Length
How to measure:
1. Start at the base of the neck, where the neck meets the shoulders (the prominent bone at the back of the neck is a good starting point).
2. Measure straight down along the spine to the desired length (usually to the waistline for tops or the hips for longer garments).
Tip: Stand straight with your shoulders relaxed. If someone is helping you measure, ensure the tape stays flat against the back and doesn’t curve.
F. Waist to Hip Line
How to measure: Measure vertically from the natural waistline down to the widest part of the hips.
Tip: Stand straight with a relaxed posture and ensure the tape runs smoothly.
G. Arm Length
• How to measure:
• Start at the top of the shoulder (where the shoulder seam of a shirt would sit).
• Run the tape down along the outer arm, past the elbow, to the wrist bone.
• Tip: Keep your arm slightly bent at the elbow for a more natural measurement. Ensure the tape follows the curve of your arm without pulling tight.
This ensures a comfortable and accurate sleeve length!
H. Inseam
How to measure: Measure from the crotch (inner thigh seam) down to the desired length of the pants or where you want them to end.
Tip: Wear shoes if you need the measurement to include footwear height.
I. Outerwear (Outer Leg)
How to measure: Start at the natural waistline and measure down the side of the leg to the desired pant or skirt length.
Tip: Stand straight and relax for the most accurate result.
